MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small companies in Cornwall presently generate income from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this sort of market going it does require just a little bit of lift which is available in the form of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
